Holy crabsticks it's been a while since I updated this journal! (I've had the same journal entry up since Sept. 2011 O.O)

Before I say anything else: yes, I take on too many projects. Yes, I should probably drop a few. No, I won't. Yes, I'm stubborn.

There have been a lot of personal issues that have been piling up, and taking up long-term projects gives me a mental escape by forcing me to focus on the task at hand. I have like 10 projects filed away on my computer, but here are the ones taking precedence.

A Rat's Nest
Still. This is turning out to be a 25+ chapter fanfic, and I'm trudging through it with all these other projects >.> I had wanted to finish a few chapters this summer, so I could post pre-written stuff during the school year, but it turns out I'll just have to post as I write it. *sigh*

Crane Curtain
A while ago I stumbled upon a picture of ~pikarar's bedroom (as seen here: [link]). Upon further investigation, I found out the cool thing hanging on the left side of the picture was a curtain of 1000 cranes her friend made her. I was super inspired, and I've been making cranes ever since I'm currently at 348 cranes! Only 652 to go . . . Yay?

Epic Pokemon Wall Wave
This one was added super recently. And by that, I mean like yesterday. I've been trying to find a way to fill up my newly painted walls (that are completely bare due to my old posters being completely ruined and ripped when we took them off to paint), and when I saw ~TinySkye's pokemon mural she did with copic markers (as seen here: [link]), I immediately was like YES. I'M DOING THIS. Except, I'll be doing digital vector pokemon, and I plan on laminating mine at a Staples or something. I've learned the hard way what happens when you don't protect the things you put up. Damn you scotch tape! TT_TT For those that are curious, I'll be using PsyPokes Picdex as a reference, and for now, I'll just be doing the original 151.

Project: Pretty Posters Please
This project is actually almost done! YAY! I had zero wall art last year in my dorm, and my walls were these piss-yellow painted cinderblocks, and it was just overall very depressing. BUT NOT THIS YEAR. This year, my walls will be PRETTY DAMMIT!! But, I'm poor and have no job, so I can't afford any of the wonderful art prints on dA or other websites. Which means I'm making my own posters. I've been taking a few of my favorite images from across the internet and making vector versions of them for my apartment. I won't be posting the end results though, out of fear of copyright infringement and the angry mobs of dA fans of those artists. I'll take a picture of my finished wall when they're put up though

Those are the ones taking up the majority of my time, but I unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) have more projects stored away. A quick preview of those would be my endless list of fan art WIPs, manga scanlation editing, GaiaOnline avi art commissions, microsoft word tutorial for my grandma, and much, much more.

So, if you're wondering why my dA updates are so sparse, THIS is why lol
